Men’s Large Group Breakfast
One way we find brotherhood at West Shore is through our Large Group Breakfast, held four Saturday mornings per year. Men from all walks of life, hear from a good speaker and learn from one another over a meal together. Dates can be found on the Men’s Events calendar.
Father/Daughter and Father/Son Events
In the fall and the spring, we often plan events that dads or granddads can enjoy with their daughters/granddaughters or sons/grandsons. These are fun times of bonding with our children through participation in an activity such as hiking, bowling or visiting a museum or zoo. Keep your eyes open for these announced events and join us.
In a church the size of West Shore, it’s easy to get lost in the crowd and never connect with people in deep, meaningful ways. That’s why the centerpiece of our effort remains our commitment to—and participation in—small groups of men.
Currently, West Shore Men’s Ministry contains over 50 groups of men who:
- meet at least twice monthly
- in groups of four to eight
- in settings that strengthen life-long friendships
- to study the Bible and talk about life
- and “live life together” all week long on the job, at the church, with family.
Some of these groups desire for new men to join them; there are also new groups being formed regularly. Interested? Contact Pastor Nathan Winters in his church mailbox or you can email him.
Each year the men of West Shore get away for a weekend in early March to spend time building relationships—growing in our knowledge of and love for Christ.
Wilderness Discipleship Intensives
Wilderness Discipleship Intensive (WDI) Get away with a group of men and get face-to-face with God. In the spring and fall, Pastor Nate is often available to lead and schedule an outdoor wilderness experience. Talk to him about what’s involved.
