West Shore Evangelical Free Church’s MOPS group operates under the oversight of the church and with church resources. We greatly appreciate WSEFC’s support and commitment to the development of women. The following are church staff members who support MOPS:

Lisa provides oversight, support, advice, helping hands and so much more for our MOPS group. She is deeply committed to serving moms of young children and demonstrates this through her dedication, time and love for women. Lisa’s desire is to help women take the next step in their journey of faith and therefore become the best mom possible. If we can reach a mom with the good news that she is loved and forgiven by God, that she was created for a purpose and that this season of her life is potentially the best season of all, an entire family, community and generation can be impacted as well.
MOPS Kids Team Leader: Christine Faro
Christine oversees the MOPS Kids by recruiting, training, and supporting child care workers for Women’s Ministries at WSEFC. Christine designs the curriculum for MOPS Kids and organizes snacks for children. She is an incredibly gifted people-manager and handles any child care or staffing problem you send her way with grace, clarity, and calmness.
The Steering Team for the West Shore Evangelical Free MOPS group is comprised of participant volunteers. These women work to facilitate the mission and goals of the MOPS group throughout the year and maintain the daily needs of the West Shore Evangelical Free MOPS organization.
MOPS Coordinator Cindi Syvertson and MOPS Co-Coordinator Jaime Witmer
Cindi & Jaime lead the Steering Team with dedication, love and grace. They work together with the Leadership Team to choose topics and speakers. Cindi & Jaime run our MOPS meetings, oversee all the committees and serve as the liaisons between our MOPS group and MOPS International. Both Cindi & Jaime are talented managers who have a great love for other moms and their children. They are both deeply committed to the good they see MOPS creating in families in our community.
Cindi Syvertson – Married to her college sweetheart, Paul, for 9 years, Cindi feels incredibly blessed to be called “Mommy” by 6 year-old Bailey, 4 year-old Cole, and baby girl Delaney (who is rapidly not a baby anymore, cue the tears). Cindi has been a part of MOPS since 2009, and has served as a discussion group leader, and hospitality co-coordinator before taking on the super exciting challenge of co-coordinator. She is so excited to see what God will do in this MOPS group in the coming year! She loves helping moms make connections and support each other as we go through this crazy thing called life with little kids. A perfect day for Cindi would include quiet time to do some devotions (or any time that is quiet, let’s be real), food she doesn’t have to cook, a nap, and maybe some TV and Target. Cindi would love to get to know you better, so please come say “hi!” Or even better, let’s have coffee. There is no such thing as too much coffee.

Cheryl collects registration and MOPS dues, adeptly manages our MOPS budget (with Lisa Dunlap) and handles all reimbursements. Cheryl maintains memberships and oversees all of our MOPS fundraising efforts. If you have a financial question about MOPS, Cheryl will quickly find an answer and deliver it with kindness.
Cheryl has attended MOPS since 2012. She has served as a DGL in the past, and is excited to jump into the Finance role. She grew up in Canada, and though she has adapted well to PA, her Canadian accent returns when she’s stressed or under pressure. She has been married for 8 years to the love of her life, Andy. They have three beautiful girls, Elyse, Kaylee and Madelyn. Cheryl spends her days being mom to these lovelies, and uses nap time, bed time, and the occasional babysitter to fit in her work as a virtual office assistant and as a private piano teacher. She manages the chaos with coffee in hand, chocolate within reach, and plenty of to-do lists.
Hospitality Team Leader: Monica Foster
Mentor Mom Leader: Janet Davis
Janet fulfills an invaluable position for MOPS by providing oversight to the MOPS Mentor Moms and guidance to the MOPS Steering Team. She is the liaison between MOPS and Women’s Ministries. Her role is critical to the success of MOPS, facilitating the wisdom and love of seasoned moms to support and share life with younger moms. Janet is in her first year as the Mentor Mom Leader, but she has served MOPS as a Mentor Mom for many years. Janet’s sweet disposition graciously invites women into her life. Her years of experience raising four sons and traveling with a military husband bring a depth of insight into motherhood and marriage.
Janet has been married to her husband, Ned, for 31 years. She is the proud mother of four sons – Sam married to Shannon, who have Layla and Seth and Isaac; Micah married to Hanna, who have Noah, Makenna, and Rania; Matthew married to Hannah who have Emerson; and Mark married to Meghan. Janet loves being a MOPS mentor and encouraging moms as they raise their young children. Ned and Janet are adventurously enjoying a new hobby, kayaking! She also loves to walk and curl up with a good book.
