Welcome to the Worship Ministry at West Shore
We want worship at West Shore to humble, inspire and engage, and to invigorate
everyone to go into the world and be like Jesus.
Our worship philosophy informs our sound philosophy. If you are interested in learning more about how we see sound playing a role in our Sunday morning gatherings, below is our philosophy along with a map showing the volume differences in the sanctuary. We hope this serves you as you worship at West Shore.
Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
West Shore’s “Deaf Konnect Ministry” provides sign language interpretation for the 10:45 AM Sunday service. Its mission is to provide a deaf-friendly church community and encourage deaf and hard-of-hearing people to fully participate in all aspects of church life. For those in need, seating is located in the front of the sanctuary/auditorium and is open to friends and family as well. Questions? Please contact the church office at 697.0226.
In addition to our Sunday worship services in the sanctuary for families and individuals, we offer Worship Adventure for children in grades 1-6 each Sunday from 10:15 to 10:45 AM. This time of worship is planned especially for children to learn and experience the joy of praising God! To ensure order and safety for the children participating in Worship Adventure (WA), the WA leaders meet the children at their 1st service classrooms and lead them to Worship Adventure. Once worship is over the children are led to their 2nd service classes by these same leaders. Nursery and preschool children enjoy their own times of worship in their rooms.
Consider serving in one of the following areas.
Our ushers are an especially warm group who want to ensure that visitors and members feel welcome and comfortable. Should you be interested in serving as an usher, please contact Brett Kinney. Also contact Brett if you are an usher and would like the usher contact information sent to you to find a backup when you are out of town.
The West Shore Technical Team is an essential part of the worship services as they provide support for audio, video, and lighting. Their mission is to provide an environment and space for the church to passionately and authentically worship God using the technical tools present. If you are interested in being part of this growing team, contact tech director Chris Parliament.
Communion Prep Teams
West Shore Church celebrates Communion once a month; Communion is a sacrament ordained by Christ to be observed by His followers. It takes 3 rotating teams of amazing volunteers to prepare the communion elements before each Communion Service. We are looking for volunteers to join our teams with a commitment of helping one Sunday per month, four times over the course of a year. Contact Katherine Athens for the details.
