The Christmas Eve Offering will be distributed to the following organizations:
Forgotten Voices International (FVI): Orphan Care
It costs approximately $2,500 to equip a local church in Southern Africa (Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi) with resources, training, food, school fees and clothing to care for up to 40 orphaned children in the community for one year. Additionally, some of these dollars are also used for income-generating projects to help caregivers develop a sustainable livelihood. The goal is to supply 15 new churches with funds to care for up to 600 orphans during 2018.
Personal Energy Transportation wheelchairs (PET): Disability Care
We hope to offer the gift of mobility to disabled children and adults around the world who have no access to resilient, all-terrain wheelchairs. Each PET costs $350 to build in our local Carlisle workshop. Our goal is to purchase the materials for 20 PETS, and have WSFC volunteers assemble them prior to shipping them to our international partners.
Breza Evangelical church in Bosnia renovation project: Renovation Project
The Breza church, led by pastor Mladen Tomicic and his wife Violeta, is taking on a more strategic role as a hub church serving a growing network of smaller churches and new church plants in the region. The Breza church is in desperate need of a new roof and a larger meeting space. Our goal is to provide $30,000 to cover the cost of tearing off the old dilapidated roof, raising the exterior walls to gain an additional floor and the installation of a new roof.
