As a proud MobilePack host for the second year, West Shore Evangelical Free Church has committed to packing 264,384 meals of rice, soy, dried vegetables and a nutritionally complete blend of vitamins and minerals. As volunteers, you will place these ingredients into bags and seal them. From there, the meals will be boxed, placed on pallets, and shipped to FMSC partners working hard around the world to reach the neediest children.
As required for every MobilePack, West Shore Free has committed to funding the event, which is expected to cost $58,164. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of the Christmas Eve offering, the vast majority of this has already been raised. But organizers are seeking more volunteers than ever to fill the 1,300 slots—300 more than last year. You can also help raise awareness of childhood hunger in this world by finding us on Facebook and spreading the word.
Volunteers five years and older are needed. There are both standing and sitting jobs. Serve as a multi-generational family, life group, fellowship group, ministry group, neighborhood group, work group, etc., or come by yourself and make new friends.

Give Locally by Donating Blood
Also new for 2017, West Shore Free will be hosting a blood drive on Saturday and Sunday of the event from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. For a chance to help locally as well as globally, volunteers are encouraged to consider donating blood after packing. Despite miraculous advancements in medicine, there is no substitute for human blood. Each pint donation helps three people.
For questions, please contact Central PA Blood Bank at (800) 771-0059 or visit 717giveblood.org.
