Many opportunities to engage and enhance our community have arisen as a result of the service you provided on Life-Giving Saturday. Let’s keep the ball rolling! Over the coming months, we’ll report on projects in the Central PA region that need your help, as well as opportunities to serve people in need within our church family. Here’s a few projects to get you going:
“Paxton Street Ministries”
Clean-up around the facility by mulching, weeding, painting, staining as well as opportunities to serve/clean-up the noon meal and spend time with residents. Contact Paxton Street Ministries/Kevin Noll.
“Camp Hill Home”
This is a project through the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Disabled client needs windows washed, weeding, raking, clean-up, etc. Outdoor ramp needs varnished and inside closet door rehung. Contact Robin Unangst.
"Cumberland Vista Spring Clean-Up"
Non-profit personal care home for intellectually disabled adults. Trim bushes, clean out flower beds, edge lawn and beds. Could use pressure washer to clean soffits and strip picnic table to stain. Contact

"Dillsburg Home"
Assist a family with health issues to prepare their home for selling so that they can move to a smaller home—a vital move to a single story home. Work needed is to spread mulch around house and yard. Contact Ian Campbell.
“Dillsburg Home”
Help a man who has a severe long-term disability and is wheelchair bound. Volunteers needed to repair storm door, replace storm window and paint two ceilings. Contact Ron Barger.
“Harrisburg Home”
Serve a woman whose husband died a year ago. She has had to move into a small apartment and is now trying to sell her home. Volunteers needed to clean, pack boxes, some outdoor work, etc. Contact Ian Campbell.
“Interfaith Shelter”
Assist homeless shelter in organizing and packing items to prepare for a move to a new facility (May). Contact Hilary Hoover.
“Mechanicsburg Home”
Replace drywall, reinsulate and paint kitchen area that has come down as a result of a severe leak in the roof. Pack kitchen prior to work starting and after repairs complete. Paint ceiling. Contact Sam Brenize.
"Mt. Holly Home”
Assist a single woman with home repairs including fixing a leaky window, roof leak, broken window frames, holes in walls, doors adjusted, etc. Contact
Margaret Gray.
“Summerdale Home”
Assist a woman who suffers from chronic illness. Home repairs include gutters, trim and fascia. Inspect and make correction to front door and install additional trim around door. Repair or replace a shed door and shed siding. Install gates for front porch. Power wash and stain deck. Contact
homeowner.
Client needs help with laundry, cleaning the kitchen and bathroom. Some items to be moved to storage unit and others to be donated. All supplies provided. Client has a cat that will be contained for the project. This project is sponsored by the “What a Difference a Day Makes” with the National MS Society.
"Camp Hill Home"
Remove branches, trim shrubs and bushes, clean gutters. Paint bathroom and living room and exterior touch-up. Wash windows. Client is wheelchair bound. Lives with wife and mother-in-law. Volunteers could bring work/rubber gloves, extra ladders, cleaning cloths.
