Worship with your Children
Each Sunday we will be updating this page with materials to equip you in discipling your children throughout the week.
For the remainder of the summer, we want to walk with you through the life of Joseph as we look at the question, “If God is good, then why do bad things happen?” It’s crucial that we help kids process COVID in a way that teaches them what is true about God in the midst of uncertain and difficult circumstances, and you play the most vital role in teaching them these truths.
We’ll explore the origin of sin and evil in the world for the first week, and then we’ll follow the life of Joseph for the next six weeks through all its ups and downs to see how God was weaving a story through Joseph’s hardships that was far greater than anything Joseph could have imagined.
We always remember things better that we discover for ourselves, so you’ll notice that the lessons include a lot of questions to nudge kids to think critically and deeply. Feel free to adapt them to fit the ages & stages of your own children.
We invite you to impact the children in your life this summer with God’s transforming hope, to discover as Joseph did when he told his brothers, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives” (Genesis 50:20)!
